Chemical MRE heaters
These units will make your MRE's piping hot in a few minutes using only a little water.
MREs don't require cooking.
MRE heaters are offered as an easy way to have an occasional hot meal during a disaster, and could also be used to heat your own food if packaged right.
The MRE heaters work like this:
- Place the MRE entree into the bag, and pour approximately
2 oz. of water into the bag until the water reaches a mark on the bag.
- Then hold the heater level so the chemicals soak up the water.
- Prop the bag and MRE up using a rock, and the heat will start.
- After 10-15 minutes, the contents will be piping hot.
These heaters are sold in packs of 12 or can be included in with the mre's when purchased by the case.
